25 October 2020

Edge Hill University has won a Green Flag national award for the beauty of its campus for the 9th year in a row.

The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for their management across the United Kingdom and around the world. Edge Hill University grounds manager Neil Toner said: “It’s all about pride. The whole maintenance team take immense pride in creating spaces where people can take a few minutes out of their day to sit and relax in a stunning natural environment."

Edge Hill University currently hosts 15,000 students and was awarded Times Higher Education 'University of the Year' Award in 2014 following nominations in 2008, 2011 and 2012.
