UK universities plan on offering EU student fee reductions for 2021 entry

06 January 2021

Times Higher Education are reporting that a number of UK universities are planning on keeping EU fees at the same or similar levels to home fees post-Brexit.

The UK left the EU on January 1st 2021, meaning UK universities are no longer required to charge EU students the same fees as UK students (currently capped at £9,250).

The University of Leicester and Royal Holloway, University of London are amongst those considering the move, with the latter stating that it will "award eligible EU students starting in September 2021 a fee reduction scholarship which brings your fee into line with the fee paid by UK students” for the duration of their course.

If you are an EU student who has questions about studying in the UK from September 2021, do not hesitate to get in touch with our team at SI-UK London today by arranging a free consultation.
