Oxford leads UK universities in 2021 QS World University Rankings

10 June 2020

The 2021 QS World University Rankings were published today, with the University of Oxford leading the 90 UK universities who feature in the top 1000.

Oxford narrowly saw off domestic competition from Oxbridge rival the University of Cambridge (7th), Imperial College London (8th), University College London (10th) and the University of Edinburgh (20th).

The QS rankings are regarded as the most highly respected of the various international league tables. Methodology is based on employer and academic reputation, class sizes, research output and international staff and students numbers.
