UK universities stand out in 2019 World University Rankings by Subject list

The 2019 QS World University Rankings by Subject have been released, with UK universities taking top spot in 13 of the 48 dfferent subject areas, a rise of three on 2018.

The University of Oxford was once again the UK leader, with their courses in English literature, geography and archaeology crowned the best in the world, with Oxbridge rival Cambridge finishing top for anatomy. In the area of sport, Loughborough University won once again, whilst The Royal College of Art is top for art and design.

University College London (architecture and education), London School of Economics (social policy), King's College London (nursing) and University of Sussex (development studies) were also some of the big UK winners.
