UK universities dominate new European Teaching rankings

17 July 2018

Eight UK universities featured in the top ten of the first ever European Teaching rankings which were released by Times Higher Education earlier this month.

The University of Oxford topped the new league table, closely followed by Oxbridge rival Cambridge. The ranking, which is in its pilot year, focusses on teaching environments, teaching reputation, graduation rate and development of students’ skills.

Other UK universities to feature in the top ten include Warwick, UCL, Bristol, ManchesterNewcastle and York. In total, 13 of the top 20 and 100 of the 242 universities who featured in the ranking were from the UK.
